About Us

Amy Watson is a qualified teacher, tutoring business owner and a published author based in the north-west. After telling stories in her classrooms, Amy progressed into the world of tutoring, she set up her own business called ‘Achieve with Amy’ and has supported over one hundred children privately to grow in confidence and find their love for learning. Alongside this, Amy has become a successful published author, with her first novel that was released in November 2022, and a lot more on the way. Amy now also supports fellow teachers by delivering training in schools as a consultant.

She provides continual professional development opportunities around creative writing, igniting imagination and teaching to reach a child’s full potential.

We contacted Amy when Natasha was in Year 1, she is in Year 4 now. Natasha loves her lessons with Amy because they are fun. Amy first helped Natasha with phonics and spellings. She introduced some creative, fun ways of helping her with this, and helped us by providing ideas of what we could do too. Within weeks we seen a huge improvement in all areas of English. We could really see the benefit of the extra help one to one. During the pandemic we switched to online learning. Amy delivered worksheets and resources for Natasha and they completed these together via zoom. Natasha really enjoyed online lessons and did some great work. We really enjoyed listening to her reading the stories she had written or tell us what she had learnt. Now in Year 4, Amy is helping with story writing spelling, timetables, and is building lessons around the subjects at school to help build Natasha confidence in class. I highly recommend Amy if you are looking for a Primary School Tutor, she really cares about the children and takes time to find out their interests to personalise lessons and help them learn.

Amy is an amazing teacher. Emily has made so much progress with her and we were so thrilled that, with Amy's support, she was able to pass the entrance exam for the prestigious Bluecoat School. But even more than this she has made it fun along the way. Emily absolutely loves Amy and always ends the lesson with a massive smile on her face!!
